When thinking about selling your home, you want potential buyers to MARVEL at your home. Selling involves more than just putting a “for sale” sign in the yard. Homeowners should prepare for battle by taking the following 5 steps:
- Declutter: I am sure there is a THING or two that you have held on to for too long. Decluttering means getting rid of excess items as well as removing personal photos and belongings.

- Enhance Curb Appeal: Remember, this is a buyer’s very first impression of your home. So, before a STORM, get your WOLVERINE-like claws to manicure your lawn, trim the bushes and pull the weeds. Consider adding fresh potted plants or a new coat of paint to your front door to make the home more inviting.
- Gather important Documentation: Buyers are HAWKEYES for details! They want to know that age of the HVAC system or when the roof was replaced as well as any warranties on appliances. Therefore, Sellers should have important documents ready. Gather tax records, property surveys, even utility bills and place them in a binder to streamline the process.
